Danner, Vello, and Tubing Control
It is essential that glass temperature and pressure are controlled throughout the entire process. For this reason, ACSI integrates your control system from the batch house to the melter, and through to forming.
The following important variables are controlled in order to achieve optimum tubing diameter and thickness when using the Danner Process:
• Glass temperature through the forehearth and onto the mandrel
• Glass flow rate
• Blowing air flow/pressure through the mandrel
• Drawing machine speed
By controlling the following variables when using the Vello Process, ideal tubing diameter and thickness are achieved:
• Glass temperature through the forehearth and into the mandrel
• Glass draw rate
• Blowing air pressure through the mandrel
